Check out the dispatches from New York City’s local news authority NY1.

FIRST, this report below demonstrates the public’s willingness to share cabs when conditions dictate.  It also emphasizes the ease with which an organic cab-sharing system developed during the city’s 200 taxi strike.

SECOND, this report explains the city government’s rationale in moving forward with its own cab sharing initiative.  When combined with CabCorner’s web-based offering, the program suddenly sounds feasible!

THIRD, in this report, the people have spoken!  They’re ready for cab sharing, and willing to share a cab!

FOURTH, the Taxi and Limousine Commission makes history!  Voting to approve a formal cab-share program.  Check out the specifics.
