What taxicab progress looks like, two years on…

Folks:

Perhaps my knack for the cab industry was evidenced by my staggeringly accurate prediction that one day I would read the following:

“Overall ridership and revenue have increased. More and more fares are being paid with credit cards, even for shorter rides. And tips for drivers, usually an early casualty of tough times, are up sharply, double over the pre-plastic days.”

New York’s Cabbies Like Credit Cards?  Go Figure…

It’s likely that both the Taxi & Limousine Commission and various unions will initially see our multi-rider cab-sharing platform as a threat.  But like the credit card controversy before us, enhanced profitability is almost guaranteed.  THAT is the lesson of efficiency and progress.
