the hunt for capital

Over the past few weeks, we’ve received a number of emails inquiring about our progress. A few updates:
Jon’s been making the rounds, lining up a few low-level investors to carry us through the next phase in our technical development. (Perhaps, upon CabCorner’s launch in the top 15 markets nationwide, we should consider touching Greylock Partners, right? And Jon, have you spoken with my boy Al? He’s into green startups….)
This fresh injection of capital will, before the end of 2009, be reflected in a new homepage design, a fundamentally new process workflow, and (finally!) a solid presentation of our concept.
No doubt: the current prototype has been useful. It enabled us to see and test our idea, and attracted quite a bit of media attention. It has, however, outlived its usefulness; it’s time to release a finished product in time for the future. Or at least 2010.
Our iPhone application went into development last week. We expect a Christmas release. Stay tuned.
Also, please join us in welcoming aboard the lovely and talented Allison, our new PR guru, as well as “Team Greg,” the driving force behind Phase 3 Development.
