CabCorner applications for online social utilities

Jon and Sankho:
Check out this profile of Chris DeWolfe, co-founder and current CEO of MySpace. The company is pursuing aggressive strategies to expand into every corner of the web. It really highlights the power of applications, which Facebook popularized but which all social networks are now trying to figure out how to integrate, deploy, and monetize.
For our purposes, we needn’t worry about any of that. The question we’d face, were we to explore creating CabCorner applications for Facebook, MySpace, etc. is whether these platforms would give us access to more users, who in turn could generate more rides for those commuters who utilize CabCorner.com directly.
So I ask… do we have an “application strategy?” Are we developing apps for Facebook and MySpace, to supplement our current integration with Twitter and FB? Do you see immediate value in them, as a marketing ploy AND as a core source of rides?

Applications abound, Jesse. See my post in response to yours, titled, ‘Response to Jesse’s Inquiry’.
