NYC cabs to limit cell phone use?

Whoa whoa whoa…. let’s hope this doesn’t go too far.  This elitist piece of legislation could seriously hamper the evolution of our business model, which in turn would hamper the evolution of environmentally-conscious cab-sharing platforms.

NYC Considering Blocking Chatty Cabbies’ Phones

Frankly, I love that cabbies can be engaged in their own world, so that they’re less concerned with the excruciating minutiae of mine.  The number of embarrassing arguments I’ve had with women and friends alike in cabs is unimaginably large.  Yet so often, the telephonic headpiece on the driver is enough to let me pretend that I’ve maintained the privacy of my affairs.
